Scotland’s Choice

The debate on a Scottish referendum continued this week with the Parliament mandating the Scottish Government to open formal talks with the UK Government on the details of a Section 30 order, to enable an independence referendum to take place when the choice between an independent Scotland and the UK’s Brexit deal is clear.

Concern for 380 Shell Finance Jobs in Glasgow

Glasgow Kelvin MSP Sandra White spoke at First Minister’s Questions highlighting her concern for 380 jobs at risk as a result of Shell’s plans to close its financial operations in the city.

Sandra White MSP said, “I am concerned for 380 jobs at risk in Glasgow following Shell’s decision to close its financial operations, based at Bothwell Street. I have requested an urgent meeting with Shell to discuss this and have asked the First Minister what the Scottish Government can do to help.”
