I’m backing the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) appeal for kind hearted people across Scotland to help raise funds for abused, abandoned and injured animals by volunteering within their community.
Here’s Billy a handsome young dog who has been in the Glasgow rehoming centre for 105 days. If you would like to give him or one of his friends a home please contact the centre on 03000 999 999 or visit them from 10am – 4pm at 125 Kinnell Avenue, Cardonald, Glasgow, G52 3RY
The Scottish SPCA are urging locals to get involved this Scottish Animal Week, which runs from 3 – 9 September, by raising funds in your local area.
The Scottish SPCA cared for more than 11,500 animals and this year they have already cared for over 8,900 animals and really need the support of the public more than ever.
As an animal welfare charity, they do not receive government or lottery funding and rely on the generosity of animal lovers to continue their vital work.
Scottish SPCA have suggested door-to-door fundraising Monday to Friday or street collections on Saturday.
Stay up to date on Scottish Animal Week and follow #InYourLocalCommunity and #ScottishAnimalWeek18 on social media.
Anyone who would like to help fundraise for the Scottish SPCA can contact the fundraising team on 03000 999 999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
